About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

IMG_8051.JPG

Although we are not an academic nursery we do introduce many of the concepts that will form the foundation of children's primary education. Through play we introduce colour's, shapes, numbers, letters, risk and challenge but our primary focus is teaching our children social skills. We will help them to develop confidence in their own ability, and difficult to grasp concepts such as patience, how to be polite and well mannered and kind to other children, build resilience and instill a desire for curiosity and wonder.
Each child will be allocated a single key member of staff who will be primarily responsible for your child and who will be your principal point of contact. This enables us to best fulfil the needs of your child and provide you with accurate feedback on their development and well being. At Little Einstein’s the aim of our nursery is to provide a warm happy place where your children can be looked after with stimulation, fun, rest, cuddles, healthy food and where they can grow into inquisitive, socially aware children that have great memories.
Our days vary depending on the age of our children. We cater for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. As a child moves into each of these phases their care, play and stimulation needs change. We have created different areas and environments where they can engage in a range of activities that suit their development stage.
The very young babies need a lot of attention, care and naps so they can re-charge their batteries, whereas the older children become much more inquisitive and need far more stimulation as their interest in the world and each other increases

We are registered to care for 50 children at any time.
The suggested group sizes are provided above. (50 in any combination)
During the week we cater for children aged 0-5 years, this care is offered on a flexible basis.

We accept all children and respect them all as precious individuals, regardless of gender, race, religion, disability or culture. We believe it is important that the children have the chance to build warm and loving relationships with their carers and to be comfortable in the nursery environment.

Why choose us?

Rebecca has been researching Scandinavian nurseries, and was blown away by the benefits for the children over nursery environments in the UK. She set out to research what could put in place for our nursery she came across the curiosity approach which she instantly fell in love. Rebecca found a gentleman called Alistair Bryce-Clegg and realised his approach was the approach she thought would suit our nursery. Rebecca booked the staff on a course in Manchester and we were all completely blown away with how making small changes to the resources in the nursery could change the provision for the children.

We have already put a lot of changes in place and we continue to change things daily. We no longer have lots of plastic toys we now use ‘real items’ such as ceramics and breakables in play. We use loose parts and recycled resources. We have found that children are becoming passive learners, watching the toys instead of becoming immersed in play. We want to rejuvenate children’s desire to explore, to be active learners, motivated and engaged in play. As we all know play is essential to our social skills. Our nursery is about keeping things real, we don’t want children to be gender stereotypes in children play. We have removed our bright home corners and made them homely
